Silver Springs State Park

We just opened a reroute of the Florida National Scenic Trail (FNST) in Silver Springs State park.  It is 2.5 miles long and was built to eliminate a section of the trail that was on the road  (CO314).  This land was just purchased by the state and we worked with the land manager in selecting a route which we cut and blazed  last week.  We will do an in and out which makes this a 5 mile hike.  We will be the first group to have

Details: Silver Springs State Park Trail Head parking is at the Marshall Swamp, Cross Florida Trailhead on HWY 314. We will cross hwy 314 and head west in this new area.
