Youth, Corp and University Partner Groups
The Florida Trail Association is happy to work with youth, corp and university partner groups. The FTA sees the importance of instilling a sense of appreciation of the environment and the outdoors to help preserve these natural resources for years to come. These groups are the future of the trail! If your group is interested in volunteering on the trail, contact the Volunteer Program Coordinator: Volunteer@floridatrail.org
Alternative Spring Break
FTA provides volunteer work for universities’ Alternative Spring Break Programs all over the Nation. College groups come near and far to experience a wide variety of trail maintenance on the Florida Trail. Groups get time to explore the nearby Florida attractions. Some students hit the beach, go kayaking down one of our many rivers, or cool off in a local spring!
Boy Scouts of America
The FTA works with numerous Boy Scout troops throughout the trail to teach them trail maintenance and outdoor skills.
Engineers Without Borders
University students working with Engineers without Borders have put their skills to the test! Students come learn general trail maintenance and have the opportunity to to put their engineering knowledge to a natural environment.
