The Florida Trail Association Board of Directors took monumental steps to move the organization forward by officially adopting a Strategic Plan for the Florida Trail Association at its 28 January 2006 meeting.
As outlined in the Strategic Plan, the Board determined the need to restructure itself and amend the By-Laws to reflect those changes. These changes further empower the Board of Directors to work more efficiently on policy issues, fiduciary responsibilities and an intensified development program.
Chapter Council is empowered to take on more responsibility and authority in working through grass roots issues and addressing chapter needs. These changes present a dynamic win-win opportunity for continued growth and development of the Florida Trail Association.
