Geology along the Florida Trail? Okay, so we don't have any mountain crests (although we do have Devil's Mountain, a high point along the Suwannee River that'll make you catch your breath), but the trail does pass through and over many sites of geologic interest throughout the Sunshine State. Limestone bedrock underlies most of Florida, enabling interesting karst features to form, such as sinkholes, flowerpots, limestone pavement, and natural bridges. We also have waterfalls and rapids along the trail ... find out about the sweet spots here.
