As part of the new Gateway Community program, the Florida Trail Association is forming working partnerships with communities throughout Florida that are on or near the Florida Trail corridor. Local volunteers work directly with community leaders to ensure an ongoing relationship to keep the trail near the community well-maintained, to offer guided activities on a regular basis, and for business leaders in the community to recognize and promote the trail as a local recreational and tourism resource.
