With 18 local chapters geographically dispersed throughout Florida, the Florida Trail Association offers the opportunity for you to meet like-minded hikers in your own backyard!

Local chapters publish their own newsletters; present educational seminars open to the public; lead activities such as hikes, backpacking trips, kayaking, and geocaching; and build and maintain the Florida Trail and other local trails within their regions. Some chapters maintain their own websites; others present their current information on local activities through uploaded newsletters.  To find activities click here.  To find activities by type, use the "Search" function on the Activities page and type in the kind of activity you are looking for - "day" for day hike, "care" for trail care, "backpack", "paddle", etc.  Don't use more than one word to search - our search engine has a very small brain!
