Description

Florida National Scenic Trail “CLOSURE NOTICE” 
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is replacing a water structure on Rd 16 in the Prairie Lakes Unit at the junction of the 2 loops trails where the thru trail crosses the canal.  The road bridge across the canal will be closed until approximately June 2012.

A foot bridge has been approved so that hikers will be able to bypass the road bridge construction.  The foot bridge is expected to be in place by January 1, 2012.  Thru hikers should call the Section Leader Dale Weddle (321-729-9162) for updated information and we should be able to arrange for getting any thru hikers from the south loop to the north loop of Three Lakes (Prairie Lakes Unit).
