Eve Barbour Vice President, Membership Altamonte Springs, FL Eve moved with her family from New York State to Gainesville, Florida at age 8. Except for a jaunt to Southern Illinois University for the college years and a stint as a classroom teacher for the DOD in Hinesville, Georgia for eight years, she has spent most of her life in Florida, living ten years in Gainesville, ten years in Miami, where her only son was born, and the past 22 years in Seminole County in Central Florida. She joined the Florida Trail Association in 1996, becoming active at the chapter level in 2002. She has also lived in Tehran, Iran, Hawaii, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi and Indiana. Eve has served on Boards of Directors for other organizations and looks forward to serving the mission of the Florida Trail Association. Her hobbies include hiking, biking, paddling, camping, gardening and discovering unblemished Florida.
Responsibilities 1. Perform the duties of the President in the absence of the President and the First Vice President for Administration.
2. Coordinate all membership services to include the recruitment, retention, communication to and recognition of members of the Association. 3. Encourage and oversee chapter and chapter/state interactions and coordinate all Chapter Council activities. 4. Oversee the development of all member recruitment materials and, in coordination with the Vice President for Outreach & Development, assist in the outreach to the community beyond the Association. 5. Oversee the maintenance of the membership rolls to insure both correctness and security. 6. Provide input to the budgetary process as required. 7. Oversee the following committees: f.
